ATTACHING THE STABILIZER

What is Included in the HEADS-UP HOCKEY STABILIZER Package

Each HEADS-UP HOCKEY STABILIZER package includes:  (1) Heads-Up Stabilizer, (1) Stabilizer Padded Vest,
(1) FASGRIP Hook Helmet Strip, and (1) CD-ROM Heads-Up Stabilizer Instruction and "Heads Up, Don't Duck" Instruction video by USA Hockey.  Tools needed:  A pair of scissors.

Installation of the FASGRIP Hook Strips to the Helmet


Clean the back of the helmet with a sponge or cloth with mild soap and water and towel dry.  Take the FASGRIP Hook Helmet Strip (5") peal off the protective backing (it should be sticky) and place at the bottom edge on the back of the helmet and press down forcefully to secure the strip to the helmet.  (NOTE:  If your helmet has a ridge, cut the strip into two pieces and place one piece below and one above the ridge.)

  Attaching the Stabilizer Shoulder Pads

Your HEADS-UP HOCKEY STABILIZER Package comes fully assembled.

Simply pull the Stabilizer
Padded Vest over your head.

Attach the straps
firmly under your arm put area

Pull your hockey shoulder pads
over the Stabilizer Padded Vest
and securely attach them.
Note:  If the neck hole is to tight around the individuals neck
cutting shoulder pad
simply cut the neck hole bigger with scissors.

Attaching the Stabilizer to the Helmet

1.  The Stabilizer Padded Vest Attachment must be attached firmly under the arm pit area.
2.  Put your hockey shoulder pads over the top of the Stabilizer Padded Vest and then  put your hockey jersey on.
3.  Now, put on your hockey helmet  making sure that the chin strap is securely attached.
4.  Firmly attach the Stabilizer to  teh back of the helmet with the head and chin at a 90 degree angle, attaching from the
     bottom of the helmet towards the top. NOTE:  Never attach the Stabilizer to the helmet with the head or chin
     below or less then a 90 degree angle.

The HEADS-UP HOCKEY STABILIZER strongly recommends all coaches and trainers teach appropriate HEADS UP HOCKEY techniques in combination with strength and stretching exercises for players necks, in order to help  to reduce the possibility of injury.                      

THE HEADS-UP HOCKEY STABILIZER DOES NOT PREVENT INJURY.
NEVER CHECK SOMEONE WHILE WEARING THE HEADS-UP HOCKEY STABILIZER
